So.. what are our choices? Well.. we have Safari from Apple Inc.; Opera from Opera Software ASA; Maxthon 3 from Maxthon International Limited; Chrome from Google; and Mozilla FireFox from The Mozilla Corp.
Now lets look at features...
- Firefox: Click here to view new features.
- Opera: Click here to view newest features.
- Safari: Click here to view new features.
- Maxthon 3: Click here.
- Chrome: Here.
- Firefox: Awesome browser and customization features. It also allows fast-acting "tabs" called 'quick-tabs'. It allows for more security and more save-able passwords. It's far more reliable than IE and works cross-platform (Mac, Linux, Windows, and ubuntu). Points: 7/10. Reason: Some toolbars don't work past a certain version of FF...
- Opera: Another fast and awesome browser from one of my favorite countries: Norway. It's speed is awesome, but only works if you're on a slow connection... The company passes many help-lines by using their online forums. This browser is also cross-platform. Points: 5/10. Why? Well I believe that Power+Simplicity=Speed+Awesomeness. (In English... I don't feel that the browser has given the power that it is known for.)
- Safari: A great Mac-based browser. It is designed for simple, easy-to-use, browser from Apple. It gives the simplicity from Mac and the power of OS X, but it doesn't give the power like it says it does. This is cross-platform for only Mac and Windows. Points: 4/10. Do I need to explain? Well.. okay, then. I will, then. I believe that the power of the browser isn't all there. It doesn't help that they add the features like the "Reading List" and other "Mac-like" features into it. It is cool that is supports all different media types... but I want QuickTime to come with Safari in the next version! Build it into the freaking browser!
- Maxthon 3: The only thing I like is you can download videos from any source for free. Windows only. Points: 3/10.
- Chrome: It's a lot of clicking. I believe that this is not like the other browsers... I believe this is a more web-based browser... I want a browser that I can personalize.. I don't want to want an app-store I want a browser not an OS (like Android and iOS). This is another cross-platform browser. Points: 1/10. I don't even wanna talk about it.
